The trick

The front wall is left out for a door, so the roof leans on the two end triangles instead of four walls. Snap a gable triangle into each open end and the hat stops sagging.

What you will need

  • 8 square tiles
  • 2 triangle tiles

Step by step

  1. 1. Lay the floor

Put one square flat on the ground. This is the room.

  2. 2. Stand three walls

Fold a wall up on the back and both sides, and leave the front open for the door.

  3. 3. Lean the roof

Rest two squares against each other over the top so their high edges meet in a ridge.

  4. 4. Close the ends

Drop a triangle into each open end under the roof. It sits flush and locks the roof down.

  5. 5. Add the path

Lay two squares flat out from the door to make a little garden path.
