The trick

The body column is the spine: every wing panel clips onto a body square's side edge, and the two sides mirror, so the butterfly stays flat and even.

What you will need

  • 7 square tiles
  • 4 triangle tiles

Step by step

  1. 1. Lay the body

Line up three squares in a column for the head, middle and tail.

  2. 2. Add the wings

Clip a square onto each side of the top body square and each side of the bottom one, so four wing panels spread out.

  3. 3. Point the wings

Snap a triangle onto the outer edge of each wing so all four wings come to a matching point.
