The trick
Each deck tile locks onto its tower on all four edges like a lid, so that anchor is strong enough to carry the tiles reaching out past the tower into open air.
What you will need
- 23 square tiles
Step by step
1. Build the two footings
Build two closed boxes on the floor, one gap apart, to be the feet of the legs.
2. Raise the legs
Stack a second box straight up on each footing so both legs stand two storeys tall.
3. Lay the deck across
Lay five flat tiles in a line so each leg is capped and the tiles between and beyond span the gaps.
