Magnetic tile staircase
Step 1 of 3 · add 6 tiles
Build the first step

The trick
Each step is a closed box one tile taller than the one in front, and the front box already walls the back box's face, so you leave that shared face open. You only add wall where a step climbs above its neighbour, and the boxes lock into one solid stair.
What you will need
- 27 square tiles
Step by step
1. Build the first step
Make a closed box on the floor and cap it with a flat tile - that lid is the first tread a toy stands on.
2. Build the second step
Right behind it, stack a box two tiles tall, leaving the front face open where the first box already walls it, then cap the top.
3. Build the third step
Behind that, stack a box three tiles tall the same way, leave the shared front open, cap it, and the three treads climb like stairs.
