The trick

Pitch the two roof squares until their top edges meet, then a triangle drops straight into each end with no gap. That is why the roof holds.

What you will need

  • 7 square tiles (floor, four walls, two roof panels)
  • 2 triangle tiles (the two gable ends)

Step by step

  1. 1. Build the box

Make a floor, then stand a wall up on each of its four edges.

  2. 2. Lean the roof panels

Rest two squares against each other over the top so their high edges touch. That line is the ridge.

  3. 3. Fill the gable ends

Drop a triangle into each open end under the roof. It sits flush with no gap.
