The trick

One tile leaned on a full-height box stands almost straight up, too steep to roll on. Two tiles snapped end to end make the slope instead, so the pair climbs the whole box height at a gentle angle and each tile holds the other flat.

What you will need

  • 9 square tiles

Step by step

  1. 1. Build the box support

Make a closed box on the floor - this is the high end the ramp climbs up to.

  2. 2. Lean the slope

Lean a tile against the top front edge of the box, then snap a second tile onto its lower edge so the two make one straight slope down to the floor.

  3. 3. Lay the landing

Slide a flat tile under the bottom edge of the ramp so the slope has ground to land on and lock to.
