Build the lighthouse
Stack three closed boxes into a tall tower and cap the top with a flat lid.

The trick
Turn the cottage roof so its ridge runs along the tower wall. The low edge rests on the tower and both gable triangles face out the front and back, so the roof never clashes with the tower beside it.

Step by step
1. Build the lighthouse
Stack three closed boxes into a tall tower and cap the top with a flat lid.
2. Add the keeper's cottage
Against one side of the tower, lay a floor and three walls; the tower's own wall makes the fourth.
3. Roof the cottage
Lean two squares into a ridge that runs along the tower, then close each end with a triangle.
