The trick
Every fin is a triangle laid flat with its straight side snapped to a body square's edge, so the tail, the top fin and the belly fin all lock into one sheet. The tail is the only triangle on the back edge, so the fish clearly reads head-one-way, tail-the-other.
What you will need
- 3 square tiles
- 3 triangle tiles
Step by step
1. Lay the body
Put three squares in a straight row, each touching the next along a full edge, for the fish's body. The right end is the head.
2. Add the tail
Set a triangle against the back edge of the body so its flat side matches the square and its point trails away behind.
3. Add the fins
Snap a triangle onto the top edge of the middle square and another onto the bottom edge, points aiming out, for the back fin and the belly fin.
