The trick
Build the square tower one level at a time, then stand a triangle on each roof edge so the four points make a battlement crown.

Step by step
1. Lay the floor
Put one square down flat. This is the floor of the tower.
2. Fold the first walls up
Stand a square up on each of the four floor edges to make a box.
3. Add the second storey and cap it
Stand four more squares on top of the first walls, then lay one flat across them for the roof.
4. Stand the battlement crown
Stand a triangle on each edge of the roof so four points face out like a crown.
