The trick
One box per floor keeps the tower narrow instead of squat, and each floor's flat lid doubles as the base for the floor above, so the stack locks tight rather than splaying out as it climbs.
What you will need
- 21 square tiles
Step by step
1. Stand the ground floor
Lay one square flat on the floor, then stand a square up on each of its four edges so it holds a box shape.
2. Climb two more floors
Rest a flat square on the walls to close the box, stand four walls on it, then do the whole thing once more so the tower is three floors tall.
3. Add the top floor
Cap the walls with one more flat square and stand the last four walls on it for the top floor.
4. Lay the roof
Drop one last flat square on top as the flat roof.
