The trick
Pitch the roof squares at 60 degrees so their top edges meet in a ridge, and a triangle drops into each gable end with no gap. The doorway gable hangs from that roof, so you can leave the whole front open.
What you will need
- 11 square tiles
- 2 triangle tiles
Step by step
1. Lay a long floor
Put two squares flat in a row. This is a barn two bays long.
2. Stand the long walls
Stand a wall along each long side and one square across the far end, but leave the whole near end open for the big door.
3. Pitch the roof
Lean two squares together over each bay so their high edges meet along the ridge.
4. Fill the gable ends
Drop a triangle into each open end under the roof. The one over the doorway hangs from the roof edges.
